I got an offer from Chris Alstrin and Three Strings Productions to shoot Libby and Mayan for Adidas when John Dickey had to fly home and wasn't able to document their final record setting ascent of The Nose. I mostly shot still images during their climb, but shot a few clips of the girls for this rad video!
My fiancé Jess and I have been on the move since mid-December, traveling and climbing around India and Nepal. The past months have been eye opening in more ways than I understand, and are psyched to take a deep breath of fresh, non polluted air. We are now settled on the island of Kalymnos, Greece until the end of March. We're getting married in a few weeks.. crazy! Since I met Jess my life has changed more drastically than I could have ever imagined. Things are still evolving rapidly, and I have to admit that it this is one of the most exciting times of my life.
Here are a few shots on the beautiful island. It is very inspiring to be surrounded by the beautiful ocean and unbelievably good sport climbing.
The past two months spent in India and Nepal have been full of excitement and sensory overload. I'm just beginning the process of sorting through some of the vibrant imagery that I've captured. Here are some previews that will be part of larger polished projects. Enjoy!
India is one of the most visually inspiring places I have ever been. The tastes, noises, smells, dramatic characters and places.. everything puts you into sensory overload. Jess and I spent a week at an ashram in Rishikesh where we focused on yoga and learning how to cook Indian food. We just sent a package back to the U.S. full of locally grown spices and herbs.. if you are one of those people who frequently eats dinner with us, get psyched!!
I have been mostly focusing on shooting video this trip, and will upload a short video at some point in the next few weeks when it's finished. Jess and I will be enjoying New Years in Hampi, where we will boulder for the next two weeks. After that we are headed for Nepal, where we will be working with the Khumbu Climbing Center to teach Sherpas climbing and self-rescue skills.
Here are a few stills from the past two weeks, enjoy!
I'm SO psyched to have a place to post both the raw and unpolished along with my favorite projects that I've worked on lately. Tomorrow (12/15/14), my best friend (and soon to be wife) get on a plane headed for New Delhi, India. We will be living out of our backpacks for the next four months in India, Nepal, and Greece. I'm more enthusiastic and psyched than ever to be shooting photos and videos, so stay tuned for updates!
